Sales Engineer

P&R Specialty, Inc., a leading manufacturer of Plastic Spools, Fiberboard Spools, and Plywood Reels serving the wire and cable industry for over 40 years, is seeking a Sales Engineer to join their team.

The Sales Engineer is responsible for driving sales by combining technical knowledge with customer engagement. This role supports existing accounts, develops new business opportunities, and provides innovative solutions tailored to customer requirements. The Sales Engineer splits time between inside sales activities (quoting, customer support, technical consultation) and outside sales (customer visits, presentations, and business development).

Key performance objectives in order of priority are:

  • Generate new business opportunities by identifying and qualifying prospects to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Support and grow existing accounts by providing engineered solutions, technical support, and customer service.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate proposals, quotes, and documentation to support sales and operational planning.
  • Provide market and technical intelligence to leadership to inform business strategy and product development.
  • Maintain CRM records and reporting to ensure pipeline visibility and sales forecasting.

Qualified candidates will have their bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field or equivalent technical/sales experience. Qualified candidates will also have 3+ years of years of combined inside/outside sales in manufacturing, engineered products, or industrial environments. Excellent technical skills are a must. In this position, a goal-oriented, personally accountable candidate with a strong attention to detail will succeed.

Machinist

P&R Specialty, Inc., a leading manufacturer of plastic spools, fiber spools, and plywood reels serving the wire and cable industry for 40 years, is seeking a Machinist to join their growing tooling department.

The Machinist is responsible for building new injection molds and stamping dies and making repairs or adjustments to existing tooling, while following safe work practices.

Key performance objectives in order of priority are:

  • Creates new tooling for the company’s injection molding and stamping operations to support the company’s growth objectives.
  • Repairs or makes adjustments to existing tooling to support the company’s production objectives.
  • Effectively communicates job-specific issues with internal team members to optimize production and maintain quality.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a machinist, a high school diploma or GED, the ability to read and follow blueprints or work order instructions, and the ability to use measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.). Experience with CAD software is a plus. Strong technical skills and attention to detail are a must! In this position, a candidate with a positive attitude and an excellent work ethic will succeed.

Purchasing Administrator

P&R Specialty, Inc., a leading manufacturer of Plastic Spools, Fiberboard Spools, and Plywood Reels serving the wire and cable industry for over 40 years, is seeking a Purchasing Administrator to join their team.

The Purchasing Administrator is responsible for providing administrative support to the purchasing function by preparing and maintaining purchase orders, vendor records, and documentation. This role ensures timely and accurate purchasing of raw materials, supplies, and products for all departments, supporting production and operational efficiency while following company and ISO 9001 standards.

Key performance objectives are:

  • Accurately process purchase orders and maintain vendor documentation to support operational needs.
  • Coordinate purchasing of raw materials and additional products per department needs and requirements across all departments.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments to ensure timely order status and delivery.

Qualified candidates will have their High School Diploma or GED. An associate’s degree in business management, accounting, or related field is preferred. Qualified candidates will also have 3+ years of administrative, purchasing, or accounting support experience and possess advanced proficiency with using the Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational skills are a must. In this position, a goal-oriented, personally accountable candidate with a strong attention to detail will succeed.
